My heart goes out to California. After living in Florida for two decades, I understand natural disasters. It’s terrible. When you are far away all you can do is check on friends, send them love, pray or send money. So, I did all four. I chose to donate to the California Community Foundation. https://www.calfund.org/
The science of kindness: Research shows that philanthropic behavior helps people react proactively to a tragedy, thus promoting the growth of both the individual and the society as a whole. It benefits everyone to be a helper. Cost: I gave more than $10 but this is an instance when any amount of money would be appreciated including $10.
