I took a flight today. Before I left, I went to a dollar store and got Hershey Kisses and cellophane Valentine’s bags. I was a little nervous to hand them out because I didn’t have a plan. But worst case, I would eat Hershey Kisses all the way to Florida. I made six bags. I gave the first bag to a friendly ticket agent who checked my bag. The second went to a waitress at the airport who was surprised when I left candy and a tip. When I got to my gate and saw the chaos at the counter – so many wheelchairs and kids – I waited to board last and gave three bags to the agents. I told them how much I appreciated their hard work. One of them smiled, and gave me the, 'you have no idea,' look. Lastly, I gave one to the flight attendant who passed out the snacks. Everyone smiled. Everyone said thank you. Now that I know how easy it is, I’ll get the pilots on the way back.
