Day 90 of a year of Kindness

I worked all day alone and didn’t have much time to do something kind. After work, I ran out to play cards at a pizza place. Some friends had asked if I would play in a card league because they needed a few more people (HiLo). I had never played this game in my life so they gave me a few emergency lessons. Every Monday night, you play with a different group of people. At one point, two of the players at my table asked for a beer. I said, “I’ll buy.” They didn’t want me to and I finally blurted out, “I have to do something kind.” They let me pay. They also told me that I should tie small children's shoelaces tomorrow to save money. As I was leaving, my card friends thanked me for the beer and wanted to know where I would be tomorrow

Science of kindness: My research shows that buying someone any type of beverage is kind because it fosters connection and makes everyone feel special - even the giver. And if you tell them that you must buy it because you have to do something kind (with absolutely no explanation) they believe you. #kindnessisfree #kindness #kindnessiscontagious #bikestopcafe
