Day 87 of a year of Kindness

Today was a kindness win-win. I would say that my biggest challenge in my year of kindness is self-care. So, ironically, stuffed in my mailbox today was a self-care package! I had filled out an online survey for an area wellness center and I won a prize. I received all sorts of self-care products including an emotional support plant that I never knew I needed but now love. I won self-care cards, stickers, a book, a candle, and more. I had planned to rush out at lunch to do an errand but I felt like I had gotten a sign from the universe. So, I took a nap, which was the better choice. I hope you all benefit from some self-care this weekend. I will happily share a sticker in case you forget.

Science of kindness: Some practitioners consider self-care a mental health first-aid. Engaging in self-care has been clinically proven to reduce or eliminate anxiety and depression, reduce stress, and increase happiness. It can help you adapt to changes, build strong relationships, and recover from setbacks. It can also improve your mood, your concentration, and your outlook. Practicing self-care enhances the overall quality of life.#kindness #kindnessiscontagious @10kindnessclub #kindnessisfree #selfcare #supportplant #selfcarestickers
