Day 77 of a year of Kindness
I spent my day in three airports and finally made it to my destination at 7 p.m. Since traveling is always grueling, I decided to be proactively kind throughout the day. I smiled at people. I assured the Mom with the baby in the seat behind me that I loved babies (it’s so hard to have a baby on a plane). I helped an older woman pull her suitcase out of the overhead. I helped another woman on the airport tram after she stumbled when it suddenly stopped. I thanked the pilot and flight attendants who smiled at all of us as we filed off the plane. These are the types of daily kindnesses that happen all the time but go unnoticed. Just as I was being kind, so were many of the people around me.
Science of kindness:The science of kindness shows us that it’s much more than a feel-good concept—it’s a powerful force for improving health, happiness, and social connection. Kindness strengthens our hearts, boosts our brains, and creates a ripple effect of kindness that can change the world. #kindness #kindnessiscontagious @10kindnessclub #kindnessisfree #delta
