Day 104 of a year of Kindness

I did my taxes today. Actually Ray Therrien did them for me at his tax services business that he’s run for 30 years. I gathered that he and his team might be a little stressed out today. I’m sure I wouldn’t be the only procrastinator making a visit to his office. So, I brought in a little happy vase with some flowers. He was pleased to get them and gave them to his colleague who sat at the desk beside him. It made her smile. It made him smile. And for the first time, after my tax appointment, Ray gave me a hug - and that made me smile.

Letting someone know that you appreciate how hard they work is kind because it makes them feel valued and seen.
