This morning, I ran to the grocery store to grab some things for lunch. I had a slight headache, and it was rainy and cold outside. I finished shopping and pushed my cart to the check-out lane. I was behind a young man. When the cashier, Monique, began to ring him up, she realized that one of his items had a coupon in their weekly paper. She dug the coupon out of her drawer and gave him the discount. He barely noticed but I pointed out what a kind thing to do to save him a little money. He made the connection, smiled and thanked her.
When she began ringing me up she found another coupon for me. Apparently, Hallmark has a buy 1 get one free deal. She also had a smile that lit up the store and was so kind and friendly. After she rang me up, I went to customer service and asked for the manager. When Dale arrived, I told him that Monique did a superb job with customer service and kindness. He told me that he would recognize her for it. By the time I left, my headache was gone and I felt so much happier.
