Day 37 of a year of Kindness
It’s a snow day in New England so I’m not venturing outside. It’s also Girl Scout cookie time. I’ve eaten hundreds of Thin Mints and Tagalongs since I was young enough to sell them. But instead of eating them, I donated some boxes this morning. It will support a friend’s daughter who is selling cookies for a trip to Yellowstone and help someone supporting our country. You can choose to donate Girl Scout cookies to Operation Sweet Appreciation that offers cookies to U.S. military active duty and veteran service member organizations and local law enforcement and fire stations.
Science of kindness: Research shows that donating money makes people happier than spending it on themselves. By donating, you can improve your mental wellness while supporting the well-being of others. There is no specific research on the benefits of donating Girl Scout Cookies but from experience I can attest that Thin Mints are one of the world’s greatest pleasures. #kindnessmatters #kindness #kindnessiscontagious @10kindnessclub #girlscoutcookies #girlscouts
