Day 110 of a year of Kindness

I had an Easter picnic on the beach this afternoon. My cousin Susie, her wife Linda and I decided to share some of our extra bunny headbands. Our favorite moment was with Wrigley, a good-natured Golden Retriever, who smiled just as wide as his dog parent. It’s a wonderful day when you can make a dog smile.

Science of kindness: There is no research on handing out bunny ears to strangers and dogs but there is plenty around the benefits of smiling. Finding ways to make someone smile is a simple, free, easy-to-do act of kindness. The act of smiling has been scientifically proven to profoundly impact our mental and emotional well-being. Even forcing a smile can lead to an increase in positive emotions. Genuine smiles can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and boost the immune system. When we smile, our brain releases a cascade of feel-good chemicals, including endorphins and dopamine, that promote happiness. #kindness #kindnessiscontagious #kindnessisfree #bekind #smile #bethereasonsomeonesmilestoday
